Now What?
OK, so hopefully we have convinced you that this is the best College in Oxford. But perhaps you are still a bit worried about how hard it might be to get in? Well two things...
- Magdalen might seem a bit of an academic fortress. But don't be deterred. There are places. Every year 110 people just like you get accepted. And even if there is not a place for you at Magdalen, you may still get an offer from another another College. Magdalen has a fantastic record at placing good applicants at other Colleges. So it is not as formidable as the ratios might suggest - and you definitely won't get a place if you don't apply at all. So give it a go. What do you have to lose?
- We do our absolute best to make sure the Interview process is as stress-free as possible. Of course interviews are going to be a bit nerve-wracking, but honestly, the tutors aren't trying to trick you. They just want to see how you think. Besides, we’ll have a team of 25 student helpers here to show you around, make sure you get to your interviews on time, and help you feel at home. Between your interviews people relax by watching films in the JCR and socialising at parties in the Bar.
