Computing
These pages are maintained by the JCR Computer Reps. Before getting in touch with them/him/her, take a look at the FAQ below to see if the answer to your question is there. There's also information here about using college's colour printer.
Let me know what other information you'd like to see here - email compreps@magdjcr.co.uk.
Who do I talk to when things go wrong?
Queries about the JCR Website, JCR Mailing Lists and the Rooms Database should be directed to the JCR Computer Reps - email compreps@magdjcr.co.uk.
Queries about equipment in the college computer rooms should be referred to the college computer office - email computer.office@magd.ox.ac.uk
Queries about the Formal Hall Booking System should be directed to the college accounts office - although the answer to the most common question, 'what's my password if I have a three letter surname?', is to put a space after the third letter.
How do I access my webmail through Outlook/Thunderbird?
The instructions are on the OUCS website at http://www.oucs.ox.ac.uk/email/config/.
College Colour Printing Information
The printer is located in the Bursary and so you need to email your prepared page(s) to marilyn.evans@magd.ox.ac.uk.
Marilyn will aim to print for you within the working day received but it may be the following day if you send it late.
You must state how many copies you want and whether on A4 or A3 and whether on ordinary 80gsm paper or on 135gsm glossy paper.
You also need to tell her who is to be batelled for the cost (see below) - either you or a College club or society you are acting for. Printing cannot be charged outside Magdalen.
The charges are (per page): Glossy A4 25p, Glossy A3 40p; Plain A4 20p, Plain A3 30p.
Copies will be sent to your pigeonhole but note that A3 will be folded once to fit. If you do not want A3 folded you should inform them you will collect from her in the Development Office (LWQ I.5), above the Bursary.
This facility has been made possible through the use of old member donations to the Annual Fund.
