Magdalen might seem a bit of an academic fortress. But don't be deterred. There are places. Every year 110 people just like you get accepted. And even if there is not a place for you at Magdalen, you may still get in at another College. Magdalen has a fantastic record at placing good applicants at other Colleges. So it is not as formidable as the ratios might suggest, and you definitely won't get a place if you don't apply at all. So give it a go. What do you have to lose?
We do our absolute best to make sure the Interview process is as stress-free as possible. Of course interviews are going to be a bit nerve-wracking. But honestly honestly, the tutors aren't trying to execute you. They just want to see how you think. Besides, we have a team of 35 student helpers here to show you around, make sure you get to your interviews, and make you feel at home. Between your interviews we help you relax with films in the JCR and parties in the Bar.
