Summary of GM, Sunday 3rd Week Michaelmas Term 2005

Vacation Study Motion

Varun will suggest to the Deans a system of granting anyone with Finals 2 weeks of free vacation residence in place of the current £6 per day grant, and publicise the allowance properly if the proposal is accepted.

Room Ballot Motion

Motion passed by 53 votes to 18 with 11 abstentions. Fourth years will be drawn in a separate ballot and will choose rooms between the 2nd and 3rd years.

JCR Drum-kit Motion

Motion passed without opposition. Drum-kit will be moved from the Old Bursary to the Green Room of the Auditorium.

Oscar’s Humiliate Varun (Again) Motion

Motion passed by lots and lots of votes to 4 with 9 abstentions. Varun will have to demonstrate his salsa-dancing prowess at all General Meetings in a one-minute routine with a dance partner of Oscar’s choice until he proves he is any good. Otherwise he will be subject to a vote of no confidence.
