Diaries
Women want him, and men want to be him, Legend in his own time Rob Alderson gives us a glimpse of his week...

Sunday; JCR Brunch, followed by footy training. Did some reading before dinner, then watched a film in evening. Restful.

Monday; up at 11. Trawled round libraries collecting necessary books then spent afternoon studying Tocqueville. Revolutionary. Went to a talk by Jeremy Paxman. Later took advantage of pound a pint at the pub oxford. Blurry.

Tuesday; lecture at ten, got some more books, then footy in afternoon. Tried to do some work on renaissance art but was too tired to really concentrate. Bar for lasties and to bore people with fanciful tales of my contribution to today's game.

Wednesday; lecture at ten, then worked most of the afternoon in library, despite best efforts of the PPE students. Had to use every bit of my moral fortitude not to get dragged in to their debaucherous conversation. Testing. Went to the bridge in evening, to watch the oxford rah community trying to dance to hip hop.

Thursday; lecture at ten, then spent rest of the morning in town frittering away my student loan. Irresponsible. Despite plethora of distractions got my essay finally finished at nine. Went to bar with express intention, as ever, of not going to Filth. Went to Filth.

Friday; slept in til lunchtime, then footy afternoon. had to run back for my tute at four, sweating and racked with cramp. He was reasonably pleased with essay but admonished me for using words without knowing what they meant. Rudimentary. Went to Brookes in evening.

Saturday; watched Arsenal v Man Utd, then England v France six nations. Productive. Went out to eat for someone's birthday, then back for the erotica bop. Felt slightly uneasy at many of the interpretations of the theme- rastafarian hat and rubber gloves anybody? Disquieting.

CONFESSIONS OF A CHOCOLATE EATER,
THE DIARY OF SARAH-LOUISE CURTIS, AGED 19 ¼

Sunday: My non-working day! Cooked JCR Brunch, took a trip to the top of Magdalen tower with Rich, Joe and Jamie. Then decided to take a rowing boat out - scary! Action-packed general meeting in evening, with lots of doughnuts. Free pool afterwards in the JCR.

Monday: Had a couple of lectures. Finished labs three weeks ago so spent the afternoon doing my maths work. Then went to eat in hall, after which I went to the cinema for a bit of Hollywood trash.

Tuesday: Two lectures. Essay in tomorrow so spent all afternoon writing it. Gave it in then had dinner in the bar and played a couple of games of table football. Beaten.

Wednesday: One lecture, then came back to college and had my tute. Saw Dave fall in the river having made a punting error. Formal hall carnage rolled into 'KitCat' at Jongleurs in the evening. Made it home eventually then chatted with mates till 3am.

Thursday: Lectures again. Went home and did my 'problem' sheet until my tute at 5. Filth that night, where bumped into my 'lecture love' - excitement! Went home via Ahmed's Kebab van and ate my weight in chips.

Friday: One lecture then went straight into town and enjoyed shopping for more tops. Came back and cooked lunch for my friends (how nice am I?!). That evening had a cocktail party in my room. Didn't get to bed till 6.30am. People pulled on my bed. Urgh.

Saturday: Slept in. Did a bit of work that afternoon and a little bit more after dinner. Got down and dirty at erotica bop, where marvelled at what some people thought constituted erotic. Far too many phallic vegetables around...
